Biomass Preparation Section

“Pure Biomass. Perfect Process.”

A belt conveyor transports wet biomass from a ground-level hopper to the rotary screen. This conveyor is equipped with a magnetic separator that efficiently removes magnetic materials, such as iron pieces, from the biomass stream.

To ensure optimal drying performance and prevent system blockages, it is essential to pre-screen the wet biomass before it enters the dryer. Our process incorporates a rotary screen with 8 mm hexagonal openings, which promotes a tumbling motion to enhance the separation of oversized particles.

Strategically placed augers within the screen assist in moving the biomass smoothly across the screening surface. This design ensures sufficient residence time for effective separation while minimizing biomass loss.

Located beneath the rotary screen, a screw conveyor transfers the screened biomass into the dryer. This configuration minimizes the risk of cold air infiltration into the drying system. Just below the discharge point of the screw conveyor, a "stone catcher box" is integrated into the dryer piping. This receptacle is designed to trap heavy, non-magnetic objects—such as stones and metal fragments—ensuring they do not enter the drying process.

Our advanced biomass preparation system follows a three-stage approach to ensure that only clean, properly sized material proceeds to the drying phase. This enhances process efficiency and ensures consistent, high-quality output.

Hot Air Generator/Furnace

Efficiently burning solid biomass fuels such as wood and briquettes, the hot air generator is crafted in a circular shape accompanied by refractory lining. The outer insulation lining limits heat loss, making it incredibly efficient. Heavy cast iron grating and feeding doors offer sturdiness to this already robust machine.

As it leaves the furnace, the flue gas passes through a refectory-lined duct and commingles with fresh atmospheric air. By cooling down to roughly 350-400 degrees Celsius, this thermal combination facilitates efficient flash drying processes.

Drying Section

“The drying section consists of:”

Cage mill: A machine called the cage mill has the ability to break down biomass into small particles. This device also ensures that there is enough turbulence to thoroughly mix the hot gas/air mixture with wet biomass.

Uniform Mix:Through a solid fuel fired furnace, a uniform mixture carries the wet biomass pneumatically through vertical pipes referred to as drying columns. By means of the hot carrying flue/air mixture and close interaction with the wet biomass, an intimate mixing process is facilitated that achieves effective drying.

Cyclone separator: A cyclone separator with high efficiency is employed to separate the biomass flow from the exhaust flow.

Rotary airlock: To efficiently remove dry biomass from the cyclone, a rotary air lock is employed. This equipment also serves to prevent any unwanted infiltration of air into the system.

ID Fan: To effectively remove the exhaust from the cyclone, an ID fan is utilized to draw it out and then discharge it into the atmosphere via a stack that stands 20 feet tall.
